Project Scope

Delta Electronics partnered with Valley View Retirement Community (VVRC) in Belleville, PA to implement a Smart Room proof of concept aimed at enhancing resident comfort and autonomy in a short-term rehabilitation setting. The project involved converting a traditional room within The Haven—VVRC’s nursing and rehabilitative care unit into a fully integrated smart environment. Residents were empowered to control lighting, temperature, and window shades via an intuitive iPad interface, supporting comfort and independence during recovery.

Delta’s solution architecture was applied to seamlessly integrate smart controls, ensuring real- time adjustments to environmental settings based on resident preferences. Resident feedback and usage analytics were collected throughout the trial to inform future system enhancements and broader implementation across senior living communities.
